Product Imagery

For this world-renowned DTC diamond jewelry company, the goal was to create high-trust product imagery. Visual accuracy, consistency, and credibility were non-negotiable.

The challenge was the cost and complexity of transporting and capturing premium products. The solution? A hybrid production model, using CGI, for high-quality product renderings and traditional photography for on-model photos that enlivened the pieces.

CGI was used to create PDP images and videos, giving my team and I complete control over diamond cut and clarity, and jewelry proportions and scale. This approach reduced the need for physical product handling while ensuring the highest level of product depiction precision.

Human-Led Photography

By moving PDP imagery to CGI, production time was intentionally redirected to on-model photography and flat-lay lifestyle imagery, where physical product presence and creative direction were essential for contextualizing the product.

Scale Presentation

This allowed for:

  • Accurate representation of scale and wearability on model

  • Tighter execution of creative vision without production trade-offs

Generative AI was intentionally not used in these stages, as even minor inaccuracies could undermine trust in the product.

The Outcome

The final system delivered highly accurate, scalable PDP imagery. It reduced logistical risk and provided 65% more time and focus for human-led photography. This expanded creative range for promotional content, without compromising the integrity of the product presentation.
